Butchering




Last weekend we went to some friends of ours in Chambersburg to butcher pigs. It was alot of fun, as always. The first picture is of cracklins (fried pig fat) that you eat with salt. The second is of pig liver and heart. (both are very tasty). The third is all the bones and head meat. We picked the meat of all the bones and cooked it down to make puddings and scrapple. The last picture is of them cooking it down. I will post more pics shortly.
