Justin & Kayla Christmas Sunday

Justin and Kayla had there Christmas program this past Sunday. My seat was not front row so I could not get the best pictures. The reason Tyler is not in the photo was because he was sleeping. On Sunday Afternoon, rule number one...don't awaken sleeping baby!

Just A Thought

I recently watched a video clip on a friend of mine, Paul Peterson's, blog. It was of an atheist who was witnessed to by a Christian man and it was a good experience. While the man said he still believed there was no God, he made a statement that caused me to think. He asked this question, "How much do you have to hate someone to not proselytize (share your faith)?" He went on to ask, "If you know there is a Heaven and a Hell, how much do you have to hate someone to not tell them if they are not ready for eternal life?" It is a sobering thought. While today we here so much from "Christians" who say they don't share their faith openly on a regular basis because they don't want to offend anyone. Are we not being offensive by not alerting them to what lies ahead for them if they don't give their heart to Christ? Just a thought to consider as we face a new year. One of the areas that I am asking God to help me with during the 2009 year is evangelism and sharing my faith. As I think of this question, my heart is pricked!

On the trolley.

Last evening a couple from our church, the Kohler's, took us to a living nativity. It was our first experience so we didn't know what to expect. It was great. The kids loved it too. They were hoping to show it to 800 people but ended up with 2000 and 200 on a waiting list.

Christmas Dinner '08

Once again, we had a great turn out and a wonderful evening of great food and fellowship at our church Christmas dinner. Vonnie, Sarah, Laura and Jill did a wonderful job with the decor. A great time was had by all (as far as I know:)

I Wanna Be Like Jon Post

This was back in the "old" boys dorm. Before the new and updated improved amenities were available. We made some great memories here and this is one of them. We were enacting a scene from WWF (now WWE) professional wrestling. Paul Peterson was some scrawny nut job who was facing NJ Santiago, in the Bills shirt. Aaron McCarty was refereeing. Jason Shelly was simply there to provide a nose for Aaron to pick. It was a great match and Paul took home the belt.

I Wanna Be Like Jon Post

Jon started a "thing" on his blog called Way Back Wednesday some time ago and it is a time in which he placed old photos on his blog. Since then, there are others who have followed suit, but used other days. I didn't want to use someone else's day, so my wife suggested I call it "I wanna be like Jon posts". This picture is of my sister and I many moons ago. We were dressing up for school that day. By the way, have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately there was no pot of gold. Reports
have it that the Obama camp had already
gotten it and was spreading it among the
less fortunate in the area.
We voted.

Church Hayride 2008

We always have a great time during our annual hayride. Neal and Carrie Zimmerman do a great job of hosting the event. We always see some deer and other wildlife throughout. The food is always delicious. It seems to be tradition to have BBQ'd chicken that has been cooked over an open flame all day. It is top-notch stuff. All said, a good time was had by all.

Weird

Tonight after Justin got out of the bath he said, "I didn't have to dry off much because I wasn't in very long and the water wasn't that deep". Wow. What a concept.

Sore Losers?

A "dear friend" Matt Drudge has once again been faithful to share some true bits news. If you click on this link, www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQXcImQfubM, you will see an interview with Joe Biden. He was asked some straight forward questions. Due to the fact that the Democrats did not like the straight questions, they have cancelled a interview that was scheduled with Mrs. Biden. The station was also told that any future interviews were unlikely. (see the response here, blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2008/10/obama-campaign.html.) Come on now, I have always been told, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Maybe it should be stated, " If you can't stand the heat, get out of the race."

Yesterday

This is a picture I found of days long ago. It is of me, my sister Laura, Alicia Plank and her brother Jonathan. I don't remember where it was but I am assuming it was in West Virginia where we would see them from time to time.

Outer Banks, North Carolina

The ocean was a ghost town...thankfully1

We had a great first experience at Outer Banks. The weather was beautiful. The oceanfront was empty and the house was huge. We spent all week doing nothing. This was a true vacation. We didn't have a list of places to see, we just was flat out lazy. We played alot of games such as King's Court, Rook, Phase 10, and Skipbo. We grilled out, ate sea food and drank an abundance of Pepsi. Looking forward to next years trip already.
